Just got my brand new SB3, updated to FW 121, the last one I believe. Tried to set up Squeezenet in many configs, with mixed results, not entirely satisfying.
1) When directly attached to my Internet gateway everything is fine, both wired and wireless, even though the wireless signal is at 70% (1 foot away !!!) 2) If I move it some 10 feet away, I get a 30% signal; still the music flaws very well 3) Now I move it to its intended location, my kitchen, which is far away (40 feet) from the gateway. To get the internet here I have two alternatives: 3.1) Wired over the elecrical network, with a Netgear XE102 adapter, this claims to have a 10 MBit throughput. I get lots of rebuffering, one maybe every 20 seconds. Really strange since this "over the electricity" connection has worked perfectly for standard Pc connections 3.2) Wireless using the wireless adapter of an adjacent room, an Airport Express (801.1b). The signal is shown at 70% but the rebuffering are horrible; I just can't listen to anything for more than 3 seconds. Using this very same connection an Iphone connected to Last.FM works OK I haven't got any decent connection to my remote listening post. I am confused bu my test results. Can anyone help make any sense out of those ? Any suggestion as to what is the best approach ?
