I don't disagree - I happen to think that a status page isn't a bad
idea (although it's no panacea). My comment was related to the
suggestion that LT should make more effort to follow up on forum posts
reporting SN issues. They've said again & again that the forums are not
an official support channel, and whilst community help is valuable, and
an employee MAY respond to your post, if you really want help you should
contact them directly. That's their call to make, it's their budget :)

My other concern with a status page is that people won't believe it.
The majority of posts I see saying SN doesn't work are quickly followed
up by a "works for me", implying that the issue is on the user's end (or
somewhere between the two points). I think we'll switch from lots of "SN
doesn't work" posts to an equal number of "the SN status page is wrong!"
posts.
