I don't believe so as this would involve the BBC adding another format
to store and convert programs. As a poor alternative, many programs are
available on podcast

The availability of WMA streams international is not all good. For
budgetary reasons the BBC have reduced the bitrate of all live RealAudio
and WMA streams from 64kb/sec to 48kbit/sec and in some cases more
Radio5Live is now 32kbit/sec mono from 64kbits/sec stereo.

Furthermore on BBC boards - there are many complaints about poor
availability/stability of WMA streams internationally.
