I don't use saved Playlists for radio streaming, prefering to use Favorites for saving streams. I'm not seeing this behavoir with streams in Favorites.
You could try putting some saved Playlist streams into Favorites as well, then when your Playlist saved stream reverts to the URL instead of the station name, try the same stream from Favorites and see if the proper name has been retained.
