It still sounds like you have something odd about your network... Typical "I Am Lazy" (and this just works ... laziness is a virtue) Setup:
(cable or dsl modem) -> router WAN port -> wireless or wired network Wired "clients" (PCs, network printers, network storage) would connect to the (usually 4) LAN ports on the router. DHCP is typically 'on' on the router.. your PC would get settings like IP: 192.168.1.2 Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS: 192.168.1.1 The SB would get mostly the same settings: the only difference would be the IP which should match except for the ".2" part, which would be some other number. Do these numbers match what you see on the PC? Do they match what the SB says? It really sounds like your SB can not connect to the internet... which it should have no problem doing (that's what the 'gateway' is for.. "send stuff to this local address when you don't know how to connect to it", the gateway would be the router, and it should know how to send data on to remote sites, and how to send it to the SB when it comes back). -- snarlydwarf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ snarlydwarf's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1179 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70624 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
