I already posted on a similar thread here just now, but since this
thread is more comprehensive, here's my two pence worth...I have put up
with the minor glitches and snags on the SB Duet for the past few
months, and just when I was about to give up, update 7.4.1 seemed to
finally stablise things...and then the whole thing has crashed in the
last few days, just as you guys have described.. I changed no hardware,
router etc, and my network works just fine, thank you, so the problem is
squeezebox. I have reset and repowered everything, changed network cable
etc, but all I get is that damn blue light and no connectivity, either
on box or PC, wireless or ethernet. This is simply not good enough for a
company to be selling what is purported to be a mass consumer device but
which is little more than a working prototype dressed up with some fancy
marketing. I managed to navigate - even as a non-techie - around the
system as it changed (software etc) over the past few months, but this
downtime is the lats straw. If it doesnt work when I get home from work
tomorrow, it'll go straight back to the retailer - and legally in
Ireland I can do that as it patently doesn;t do what its supposed to do.
Pity, the concept was good.
