Any reason why the firmware has to 'downgrade' once you go back to a local SB server that is at a lower level than mysqueezebox.com?
Because of the platform I'm running my local server on (NAS), I'm limited to a specific version of Squeezebox server which is lower than the current release. Every time I go to the mysb server (not that often, admittedly) I have to upgrade, then I have to downgrade when I reconnect to the local server later. Aside from the delay, I do worry about the dangers of the firmware 'flash' going wrong. I would have though that it would make sense to just keep the hardware devices running on the latest and greatest firmware rather than loading specific versions for each version of the server that they are connecting to.... Or is it perhaps possible to modify my local SB server install with the latest firmwares, so all this up/downgrading isn't happening? -- slimfast ------------------------------------------------------------------------ slimfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29669 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=86862 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
