A couple of thoughts: Streaming radio is coming via the internet where
local music is not. So this speaks to something affecting your internet
speed/stream. I'm visiting in-laws in the country and their internet
speed is so slow (slower than old dialup I believe) that streaming music
is impossible, even very low bit rate). What sort of download speeds do
you get when testing with something like "speedtest.net"?

Another option is that the internet streaming is fine but something is
happening in your local network. Remind us of how you PC running LMS is
connected to your network. Is the PC wired but the SB players wifi? If
so, you have only one wifi hop (from PC to player). If the PC is wifi
and the SB player is wifi, you now have TWO wifi hops. This can make a
big difference in performance.

Do you get radio station buffering whether you are listing to station
via SB connected to LMS or instead when you bypass LMS and connect SB
player directly to mysqueezebox.com?
