No, the 'Show in My Apps menu' only changes the location of the Triode Spotify in the LMS menu structure. When enabled, the Triode Spotify app will be available from LMS\My Apps\Spotify, when disabled the Triode Spotify app will be available from LMS\Radio\Spotify.
But it will at the same time allow the official plugin to be accessed from the My Apps menu. Isn't this what you want to achieve?
