I was however wondering about the web player remote control for mysqueezebox.com. Why is its functionality so limited?
Because it's old, never got much love and is not based on the same code as the other UIs.
I can't add songs to play next in queue or even see the queue.
When the remote was "designed", the assumption was that a mysb.com user didn't care about a queue. Because at the time music on demand services hardly existed. Pandora was all there was. And there's no queue.
It would be great to have the same functions there as in the android app (add songs to play next, show the play queue, use the context menu on tracks, songs and albums.) Is this something you're planning to look into?
No. I still hope that at some point I could port the Controller app as a web app to the server. But it's only hope, not a plan.
