Yes, it's being called both by the server (to get track information) and the client (for the stream itself).

Yes: most likely LMS would give the player a stream URL local to your NATed container. Therefore it's not visible from the outside. Can't you configure the container to use a bridging mode rather than NAT for the network interface?
