I just now tried to do what kidstypike showed: in LMS I clicked "Extras" and then "Music source", eventually after some "Waiting for 127.0.0.1..." I could select "mysqueezebox.com", and my piCorePlayer disappeared from the local LMS. However, it did not appear on MySB.com... so I had no access to it, and had to restart it. I guess MySB.com simply ignored the request to connect, which left the player in limbo with no way of re-attaching itself to my local LMS.
And now I remember why I dismissed LMS long ago, it is really clumsy and ugly. The MySB.com UI is not the greatest either, but definitely much better than LMS. So I guess a more relevant question now is if there are any obvious things to check with the dead Duet player to maybe fix it, but I'll take that to the Duet sub-forum. In the worst case my love affair with Squeezebox is over... that makes me sad, but I guess change is the only constant.
