Hi Michael - this morning, when I tried to update my credentials at www.mysqueezebox.com, I was able to set up my login data as you have described before. However, as others have reported I also was unable to open the TIDAL app after this on my Squeezebox radio. Error was something similar to "wrong user name or phone number". I tried multiple times to uninstall/ re-install the tidal app on mysqueezebox, also switching the user on the tidal page to ensure, that the password would be checked. No luck - will try again when I come home. This morning, I was not having any idea about what could have caused that, but now that I found this thread, at least, I know what it is about. Btw: You wrote, that I would need LMS8 to use the AAC option on a Boom.
