Hi Michael

Yes, sorry, the actual problem is with the way Material skin discover
the available apps to show under the Apps menu, and I asked Craig about
it 'here'
The problem is that Material uses a request

Code:
--------------------
    ["aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff",["myapps","items",0,25000,"menu:1"]]

--------------------

to list the available Apps for the current player to build the menu.
However, this request only lists Tidal as an available app if the
current player is registered on mysb, since Tidal is a mysb app. I know
from reading other threads that you don't actually expect non-SB players
to register in mysb, but oddly enough most of mine do - I only 9 players
including a Boom, a transporter and 7 pcp's. 5 of the pcps appear in
mysb, 2 of them don't and I can't find a way to make them. For the 5
that do appear, the ccontent is a little random - a couple show firmware
version, 3 don't. For those players that do appear, Tidal appears under
Apps in Material, for the 2 that don't, it doesn't.

You'll see on that thread that Craig mentions he doesn't use streaming
services, so he's not sure how to address this. It's clear there's
another way to list the apps - the main UI and other apps (e.g.
SqueezeControl) list tidal for all players for me and I see a different
request structure from SqueezeControl when I watch it through a proxy.

So, the real underlying question is - is there a better way for Craig to
get a list of the Apps when he's building his menu. Failing that, is
there a way to register a player. Having looked at the link in the web
client to switch the Music Source, I see it

http://192.168.3.20:9000/switchserver.html?player=b8%3A27%3Aeb%3Axx%3Axx%3Axx&switchto=mysqueezebox.com

If I run this with the mac address of one of the PCPs that won't
register, it seems to tell squeezelite running on that pi to switch to
mysb.com, but the device doesn't register on mysb, so it can't connect.
So, you need to stop and restart squeezelite on that device to get it
connected to the local LMS again.

I also tried running squeezeplay and choosing one of the players,
running Test and registering the SN on mysb that way. This can create
an entry on mysb called "Player", but it registers it with the mac
address of the pc I'm using to run squeezeplay, not the player that
squeezeplay is controlling.

Hope that makes sense and thanks for the help.
