Maybe your email service provider is discarding it on the way in - as junk/spam.
You could check to see if there is a configuration item at your email service provider to allow you to (temporarily) allow "junk" in. Failing that ... get a new email address at Gmail or somewhere ... then get it registered at mysqueezebox ... and then ask Michael to change the email address for your account (by providing proof that you control the original email account / MAC addresses / photo of first born etc).
