Thanks for the reply. Am I correct in thinking that I now need to do the
update as a manual install on my Synology 218+ since LMS is no longer
supported? If so, which package should I be looking from the download
site?  To be clear, I am still running DSM 6.2.3 and Perle 5.24 so that
I theoretically could keep LMS running on this device. Further details
on my system below.

This system has been running for years without too many issues. Aside
from my LMS version getting stale as noted above, which had not been a
problem. the only change is the Nest WIFI which does make me wonder. I
had to install a revised host file into my Win OS laptops in order for
the mapped drives for shared folders to be accessible again. My office
IT guy drew that conclusion and it worked. I am suspicious that
something similar could be happening with the NAS. My backups to the
cloud are going through fine but that probabably means nothing.
