I can understand your desire for Tidal/MQA + LMS + SB players. But it isnt going to happen.
Logitechs core business is commodity level components. Speakers, keyboards, mice, security cams, etc sold by the millions. They tried entering the higher end consumer products with SqueezeBox audio and Harmony remotes and even a TV tuner/streamer/recorder (cant remember the name), all ended in disaster and Logitech got badly burned. Logitech itself is greatly to blame for these disasters, but much of the issue is simply straying too far from their core business. I dont see Logitech dipping its toes back into boutique hardware in any product category. I highly doubt you would get any support or even encouragement from Tidal (or any licensed / subscription based proprietary streaming service) for use with LMS. I think they would all be very skeptical of any interface with an open source, discontinued, officially no longer (really) supported by its parent (Logitech) server program. Add in the necessity to require a third party developer to even make this possible and you have a very real rats nest of legal and support issues these streaming services would have zero interest in. All for a discontinued and (sadly) declining market share product. That said, if you really want to pursue this I can only suggest that *you* spear head the campaign to accomplish your goals. Contact Tidal and inquire of their interest/support & NDA requirements. Then find those with the knowledge and interest in developing the required app. Lots of good developers right in this forum, and those they know outside of this forum. But, again, Id guess their interest level to get involved is about the same as Tidal & Logitechs interest to go down this rabbit hole. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115466
