I understand the desire to keep people letting logitech know that we
still exist, but I currently have everything in a nice offline-first
manner.

I currently have spotify as my "I don't have a digitised copy of this
track in my library at present, go fetch it from 'the internet'" option
and that works perfectly well via spotty (With the exception that
because I run multiple networks I have to store user+pass because
spotify's magic auth assumes you're on the same network).

I want to discontinue my use of spotify for reasons, and so I'm looking
at the alternatives, and all of them appear to require an MSB account,
which I don't want. Is there a way, or are we back at the argument "we
want logitech to know who we are and that's worth them having our
data"?

I get that argument, but don't agree with the conclusion. Big companies
shut down things with lots of users all the time, and wanting them not
to, where we have to migrate the community elsewhere (there's plenty of
options for such a community, build servers etc. even free ones because
it's opensource) is not in my view enough reason for them to collect
data on me.

I'm already locked into the ecosystem (5+ devices on my network and an
lms server running in my local k8s cluster) so switching to some other
system would be frustrating to say the least. Any suggestions or do I
have to start looking into building LMS from scratch and patching it to
not require the link?
