Hmm- in the docs i've seen the proposal to use port 7 as a dumb ICP echo. Would this be an option to trick Squid into using the weights? As i understand it the reply coming back from port 7 would be exactly what was sent- nothing like ICP_HIT- hmmm. Gabriel Wicke
