   - Are you using cache peers ?
   - What's in access.log for these particular requests (attempts) ?
   - Any additional info in cache.log ?
   - Suggest using the latest stable squid release.

I'm using a cache-peer.
In the access.log, I have the line  "TCP_MISS/503 1045 GET 
http://www.google.fr/search?- NONE/- -".
