Hello, the reason whenever i used squid and a firewall for crashing squid were in every case missing rules that allow the local IP- communication at the host stack self. You have to add these rules (at very first in your ruleset):
iptables -A INPUT -i lo -j ACCEPT iptables -A OUTPUT -o lo -j ACCEPT Just try, Sandro Littke.
