No my logs r on /var. I will run fsck and reply with the result. wat else could it be? 
i cant think of anything.Should i delete all the cache direcotries recreate with squid 
-z if nothing works out???Right now though i am not getting write errors anymore but 
the cache size is not being limited according to cache_dir directive.
