I just reconfigured squid to dump core, so if this happens again we can trace the issue..... but, any ideas?

Squid is compiled with snmp.
Any ideas on where to start?
There is bug and fix on this problem. Check here at
http://www.squid-cache.org/Versions/v2/2.5/bugs/#squid-2.5.STABLE5- post_assert
I read something about incompatibilities with a Symantec virus scanner... we have the Squid box forwarding all requests to a Trend Micro AV proxy server. Could this be causing the problem?
Make the changes of squid souce with that patch and recompile the squid. Check the squid now.
