FWIW, we looked at a major commercial solution some time ago. It was not
very impressive; plenty of porn still got through and the false negative
rate was appalling. I'd be interested to know if you find a decent
commercial option though.

I've taken a pragmatic view for the office: I'll check the sites visited now
and again, and then add appropriate ones to the block list. Sure there are
plenty more out there, but this (a) doesn't take too much time, (b) blocks a
fair bit, and (c) identifies the people looking to buck the system.
Obviously this is not much use for home stuff.

I guess the best way to generate a porn blacklist would be to stick 20
teenage boys in a room with web access and just pipe the squid sitelist
straight into the database :-)
