We do block all webmail here at a k-12 school. We do so because it is abused and there is no educational use of it in our school at this point. After pulling paper jam after paper jam out of the printer, only to get to read about the (graphic) sex lives of our HS students, we decided it needed to go. If students have an EDUCATIONAL use for webmail, we can make arrangements. We also have seen in the past staff using instructional time to read their email, a practice I find disgusting, for a whole lot of reasons.
