This exercise in audience participation could resemble high-art, respectable cabaret, or bad
karaoke, depending on what the audience brings.
Curator, Sarah Lockhart, will select a series of videos: experimental, foreign, educational, industrial,
advertisements, which should be entertaining in and of themselves. Video clips range from 1 to 5
minutes.
The porn was Thursday.
Audience members selected at random supply the sound to last as long as the video clip with
which the sound is juxtaposed, whether performing live improvisation or having us press play on a
recording of small children singing patriotic hymns. Acceptable sound sources include: cd, vinyl, vhs
video, musical instruments, voice.
There will be refreshments, not selected at random.
This event is part of 21 Grand's Sight and Sound series, collaborations in and juxtapositions of
audio and visual media.
This is NOT a Burning Man Theme Camp Fundraiser. None of the proceeds from this event will go
to Burning Man endeavors. If you want to spend as much of your diminishing disposable income
on Burning Man as you can, well that's fine, we're not offended, and we won't hold you in contempt
for doing so.
