hmm, ok well that sounds encouraging! I have Sanitizer v 1.49, but debian testing has 1.55 available, so it should be easy to upgrade if I need to. I will download and try SM 1.2.8 and see if it makes a difference. after i posted my mail I spent about 30mins looking through SM source and sanitizer source and managed to change the way sanitizer sets the mime-types of messages, so it doesn't attach a seemingly random(perhaps tied to PID) to the mime type e.g. application/defanged-1455 then application/defanged-102 for the next message, so now it just shows application/defanged for all. Then I edited the attachment_common plugin for SM so that it reconigzes application/defanged as a text file, so at least when something is defanged totally I have the 'view' option next to the download link. In the end I turned off a couple of the defang options in sanitizer since it was defanging everything even messages with mime of text/plain. I too am using the default config. thanks for the quick reply! nate ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: See the NEW Palm Tungsten T handheld.
