I was having the same problem as some people, and tried all the suggestions. Oddly enough, it does log me in, but errors in the redirect.php somewhere.

I'm using 1.2.10cvs (from today) with the redirect.php from 1.2.7 (eek!) - but it works.. So, I'm just waiting happily now for someone to fix it. I'd find the fix myself, except I'm too busy with FreeBSD projects to start in on another one.. :)

  Could you tell us what the error message is so we can investigate
  it? I'm running 1.2.9, and 1.2.10[cvs] without a problem, there is
  hardly any code change between the two versions. An error message
  would be good :) I also suggest if you're going to use a different
  version of redirect.php to probably use 1.2.8 as it is
  register_globals = Off compliant where as I don't think 1.2.7 was.
  1.2.8 is also a closer version as well, and will probably contain
  some small fixes.
The same as everyone else: something like "you must be logged in". Looking at the logs and such, it apparently accepts my username and password, then trys to send me to the redirect.php page, where it dies.

I'm also having problems with the prev/next page thing.
Also, one of my users reported this:
--
Warning: Unlink failed (Permission denied) in
/usr/local/www/data/webmail/src/compose.php on line 339

Also, it won't allow more than one file to be attached to an email.
