I have gotten the error using php4.2.3. I tried php4.3.0rc2 and the error went away. I have also previously had a problem with php4.2.3 with ftp. I am guessing that squirrelmail uses the php ftp functions and I beleive that either my installation of php4.2.3 had ftp bug or the release has bugs. Let me know what version of php you are using and wether or not it goes away by tring php4.3.0rc2.
