  You might want to try looking at the development series 1.3.3[cvs]
  as Chris has recently implemented certain authentication systems
  into the CVS version. There are some certain requirements to be able
  to do so however, which I believe are listed in the docs in the CVS
  repository (or maybe Chris will point them out shortly).
