Ok, I think I've gotten somewhere.

from mysql, I type:
USE squirrelmail
select * from userprefs;

Which shows me the contents of the userprefs table. When I make a change to
a preference, it shows up there immediately. But, in order to see any
changes within squirrelmail, I need to sign out and sign back in.

It's as if when I refresh the page after making the change, squirrel never
goes and looks at that table to see what's there, it keeps what it had when
signed in originally.

Does this make any sense? Is there a setting somewhere with php, squirrel,
mysql that is set incorrectly?

Jody
