Hello,No, actually, you didn't. Courier-IMAP is a separately distributed package. If you want to use Postfix and Courier-IMAP (which I myself use) I would recommend uninstalling courier, so as not to get everyone confused.
squirrelmail-1.2.10, courier-0.40.2-1.7.3, postfix-1.1.7-2 on Redhat7.3, courier-imapd-0.40.2-1.7.3
The problem is that SM is not sending mail. I have smtp port 25 indicated in the conf.pl file. Postfix recieves the mail from remote locations alright, but does not send the mail. When I tested from the command line using mailx, courierd sent the mail.
I had to install courier to install courier-imapd, which I want to use for speed and reliability over UW-IMAP.
Courier-IMAP can be obtained here: http://www.inter7.com/courierimap/
You'll notice in approximately the 3rd paragraph:
"This is the same IMAP server that's included in the Courier mail server, but configured as a standalone IMAP server that can be used with other mail servers - such as Qmail, Exim, or Postfix - that deliver to maildirs"
On another (un-related) issue, I saved a message to Drafts this morning that does not show up in the INBOX.Drafts folder. Is this a permissions problem?
I'm hoping that someone on the list has run into this problem before. The archives and the documatation page on the sourceforge site are not working this morning.
Thanks in advance for any pointers or help.
