I just fixed this on my system. Drove me nuts! ;) Personally, I think the info was a bit tough to find on the SM website, it is a bit different to navigate if you are not familiar with "wikis". So, before someone says RTFM, Here's the link: http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/en_US/RedHat73PHPconfigProblem, it probably applies to your RH7.1 or will steer you in the right direction.
