Hi list,

I'm fairly new to the world of unix mail administration, but I'm able to
get around conf files reasonably well. I'm curious more as to how I
should set up the architecture of my mail system, rather than any one
particular piece of it; I'm a little confused by all the bits of the
puzzle, e.g. do I run spamassassin as a daemon, how does procmail fit
in, et cetera.

The current architecture is this:

postfix --> courier-imap --> squirrelmail

I tried to set up the spamassassin plugin and had some success, but I
think I touched procmail when I should not have, as spam is simply
deleted rather than put into a 'Spam' folder. How should I set up
spamassassin if I want to move spam to a spam folder? Should I have
postfix do it, or is the Squirrelmail plugin the best bet for handling
that?

Also, is there some mechanism through which the appropriate .maildir can
be created when a user is created? My apologies if this is a
purely-postfix question and OT, I'm a little new to this, but it
definitely beats sendmail...

Thanks very much!
