(please don’t post in HTML to the mailing list, thanks)

when you telnet to your IMAP server, try logging in with the same
username and password as you are trying in SquirrelMail:

AO1 LOGIN <username> <password>
A02 LOGOUT

if you can log in that way using the same username/pwd values, then you
should go through your IMAP configuration values in SquirrelMail once
more.

Subject: [SM-USERS] says "Unknown user or password incorrect"

Hi,

I am trying to use SquirrelMail for the first time on my Redhat 6.2

I have IMAP server installed already as you can see below

[EMAIL PROTECTED] config]# telnet ns2.abcserver.com.hk 143
Trying 202.181.xxx.xxx...
Connected to ns2.abcserver.com.hk.
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK ns2.abcserver.com.hk IMAP4rev1 v12.264 server ready

But everytime I try to login to  SquirrelMail from the Web, it says:

Unknown user or password incorrect.

I select "UW" as the IMAP server type.

Is there something that I am missing?

Thanks.

Peter
