Well, looks like we're in the same boat.

By the way, here's my info

Redhat Linux 6.2
PHP 4.0.5
squirrelmail-20030616_0041-CVS.stable

I ran conf.pl and I changed the "attachment" directory from "$data_dir" to
"/var/attach/", but it was no use. By the way, remember on part three of
the INSTALL file which says that you setup write permissions for "nobody"
in the "/var/attach/directory" and that you should set up cron jobs to
remove the attachments in the "/var/attach/directory" , well I went in with
my "root" account and really can't see any attachments at all going into
this directory.

Are we setting up something wrong?

Thanks.

Peter

Hi,

Now that I finally go webmail working with
squirrelmail-20030616_0041-CVS.stable, I am trying to see how good it is at
retrieving attachements. I find that when I went back and forth once
between the message list and clicking on the email with the attachment, I
get the following error.
The error message that I got was as follows:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/home/peter/public_html/squirrelmail.stable/class/mime/Message.class.php on
line 679

By the way, is it okay if I leave the attachment directory as $data_dir or
should I change the data directory to /var/temp/?

I also find that when I try to download the attachment. It does not
download properly. I tried to download a jpeg file that I had sent to
myself, but it downloads with the name "untitled.mix" or something like
that. The name being wrong is just one of the problems. But even when I
try to change the name back to the original jpeg extension, the attachment
does not open up.

Peter

Thanks.
