Some SquirrelMail php scripts use structures or functions unsupported in
php 4.0.6

1. install apache in different location
2. install new php using new apache installation
3. start apache on different port with similar config as older system
4. test your php pages
5. backup your old apache and php installation.
6. install php into main apache system
7. if it breaks, use backups

If you afraid to break original system while installing new one, install
new apache/php as unprivileged user.
