Well, no that was my oops. Fetchmail is in fact a separate application that that plugin was using... it supports a lot more protocols than does the SM mail fetch plugin, although I am not sure if any protocols other than POP are implemented in it. IMAP is one protocol that's been on the mail filter plugin's list for a long time... perhaps it'd be easier if someone wanted to update the fetchmail plugin to use other protocols. But I digress... For your purposes, assuming you just need POP service, the stock mail fetch plugin should be what you want. >>> I have the plugin leave mail on server, but since there's no >>> option like "remove from server when deleted from client" mail >>>just keeps >> >> There is on the one included with SM. >> > > Ok, I nuked the plugin I installed, and untarred the one that came in the > SM tarball and put it in place. Although SM is an IMAP client, when your messages are retrieved from the POP server, they are placed on the IMAP server to which your SM is a client. So to say "remove from server when removed from client" is a little misleading. The functionality you are requesting (synchronizing two different mail servers using two different protocols) is asking *A LOT* and is not something you're likely to be able to get out of a webmail solution. SM doesn't offer such functionality presently (nor will it in the near future). > This looks exactly like the old plugin I had. Something didn't get wiped > clean when I removed the bogus plugin, I just have no idea where it is or > how to clean it up. Do the options appear similar, or is the interface actually the wrong one? Make sure you disabled the fetchmail plugin in conf.pl (or administrator plugin). - Paul ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
