No offense, Colin, but your messages are all over the map.  You seem to be
confusing the server with your personal computer(s).  You do NOT install
anything on your Windows computers except a web browser (and typically you
can have BOTH Mozilla AND IE on the same machine); SM resides on your web
server ONLY.  If you don't have any passwords for you linux machine (and
if that's your web server where SM resides), you can't do anything to fix
your problem.  Either talk to the person who left or hire someone else to
help you get back on track.
