Not everyone sends out HTML messages, especially if they use SM to send mail. are you planning to force every message to be converted to HTML? (HTML mail is BAD; general consensus is not to do something so atrocious) If HTML is not absolutely necessary, the email_footer plugin can add a footer of your choice to all outgoing mail. It is compatible with the HTML_Mail plugin to send HTML formatted footers only when the user has chosen to send an HTML mail.
