Hi,

Last week I installed a new server with Debian Testing. I installed
squirrelmail from the Debian package (and also from source) but I can't
get Squirrelmail to work in Dutch.

Software:
Debian Testing
Squirrelmail 1.5.0 with downloaded Dutch (nl_NL) locales
Apache-SSL 1.3.29
PHP 4.3.4 with safe-mode off & globals on

What I did:

I downloaded the locales from sourceforge, installed them with the script.
The locales seem to be in the the right place (nl_NL in both help and
locale folder).
I ran dpkg-reconfigure locales to get the right locales on my machine
(nl_NL & nl_NL Euro & en_US).
The I altered the squirrelmail configuration file and changed the default
language to nl (also tried nl_NL).

It doesn't work. Squirrelmail still is in English. However, after the
change the help text *is* in Dutch, but the interface still isn't :(

Then I tried 1.4.3.-rc1 from source and it has the same problem: help text
is in dutch, interface isn't. On my Debian stable box it runs fine.

I reran dpkg-reconfigure a few times, I double checked my apache&php
config but I can't figure out why it isn't working.

Does anybody know what goes wrong and how to fix it?
