[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /etc/locale.gen | grep nl_NL
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ISO-8859-15
nl_NL ISO-8859-1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] UTF-8
nl_NL.UTF-8 UTF-8

> run 'dpkg-reconfigure locales'

Done that a lot of times already, but did it again :)

> select nl_NL

Done that, too

> check if /etc/locale.gen contains Dutch locale. If it does not have it,

It does:
server:/etc# grep nl locale.gen
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ISO-8859-15
nl_NL ISO-8859-1
[EMAIL PROTECTED] UTF-8
nl_NL.UTF-8 UTF-8

> run 'locale-gen'
> run 'LANG=nl_NL date'
> date should be in Dutch.

server:/etc# LANG=nl_NL date
vr mei 28 11:31:41 CEST 2004

Working correctly

> restart apache
>
> check if translation starts working.

Apache-SSL restarted, still the same problem in both Squirrelmail 1.5.0
and 1.4.3-RC1: The help is in the right language, the interface is not.

Any other suggestions?

Klaas

P.S. To be shure I also tried other languages (de_DE) and that doesn't
work either.
