I'm still struggling with my email system. My imap server don't accept email from outside i.e from Yahoo Mail! or other email system. It keeps saying user unknown / invalid user. I tested my imap system. It didn't accept [EMAIL PROTECTED] but accept username for login by way of telnet to imap port. What to change to make my imap accept [EMAIL PROTECTED] ?. I think this has nothing to do with postfix.
As already mentioned, your receiving problem is indeed with Postfix as it is handling all sending and receiving of mail for your system.
As for your IMAP logins, that's a completely separate problem. What IMAP server are you using and on what system (Unix, Linux, etc.)? Also, you should see IMAP rejection messages in your log. Post them here if you can.
