Sorry - really didn't mean to whine. I'm really grateful for squirrelmail as it has unchained me from Outlook. I need to do the same work no matter whether I'm at home or work so in that respect, it really helps me. I'm
That might have been a nicer way to start a message titled like that. :)
One thing about my spam problem is that spam is already being filtered by the server for my main e-mail address (this one) but I am also receiving forwarded e-mail from an address that is spammed up the ying-yan (I made the mistake of sending some messages to Google Groups once, without adding @NO-SPAM in the address if you know what I mean and I don't want to lose this other address). This is not seen as spam by the server as it is being forwarded from a bona fide source (btopenworld) so it lets it through. This is what I meant when I said a 'personal spam filter' where one click would both add them to the spam filter and delete them. I'm using www.myemail.com's filter at the moment - it works but is very laborious. Does the spam facility you mentioned handle this too?
Yes, something like SpamAssassin doesn't care what address email comes from, since it scans more than just the FROM header. Sounds like you need to ask your sysadmin to set up more sophisticated server-side filtering.
