SYSTEM: Mac OSX.3.4 WebStar 5.3.2 EIMS 3.2.4
PROBLEM: Login via SquirrelMail resulted in UNKNOWN USER/INCORRECT PASSWORD
SOLUTION:
EIMS must have IMAP enabled for each account, but NOT Require Secure Authentication
In fact, EIMS accounts should have: Login Enabled (for regular POP3 clients like Apple Mail) IMAP Enabled (Squirrel won't work without this) Account Enabled
I am writing a step-by-step setup for this system configuration and will post once the bugs have been ironed out.
NEW PROBLEM:
I'm trying to setup Squirrel to work with several virtual hosts. As per the docs suggestion, I've placed a copy of SM in each of the domain folders in the WebStar webserver tree. I placed the DATA and ATTACHMENTS folders outside of the webserver tree for security. This seems to work just fine.
I have 2 questions:
1) Can all of the domains use the same Data and Attachment folders.... or, should I create a unique Data and unique Attachments folder for each domain?
2) Mail sending via SM works fine... but, I'm unable to attach files. I get ERROR - Unable to copy/move file. I'm guessing I still have a permissions problem somewhere. Any suggestions?
