Hey Dan,

I don't blame you for being frustrated, felt the same way myself.   I just
took a quick look and sure enough I have mine set to 25M.   Sorry I sent
my first message from memory.  I had forgotten that I had bumped it up
further.  I haven't seen the problem since I did that way back when.  It's
still pretty slow moving between messages but at least it doesn't freeze
up.   I didn't spend much time hacking at the problem so perhaps it really
was some other change I made but I just did a quick test of changing it to
6M and was able to make it freeze up again very quickly.   So at least
this is one possible reason even if you've found another :o)
