Hi, I am really new to squirrelmail.
I installed Squirrelmail 1.4.3a on a SUSE Linux 8.1, Apache 2.045, php
4.3.7, talking via IMAP protocol to my Lotus Domino Server 5.012,
located on another server in the same LAN (100 Mbps switched)
Lotus Domino DOES NOT support SORT extension (it is always frustrating to
work with Lotus Domino...)

My mailbox contains about 2,000 messages in the Inbox, and has several
other folders.

Here is the problem: when I logon to squirrelmail, it takes abourt 5
minutes to present me my first 15 messages in my Inbox..
if I press next page, it is immediate.
If I navigate to another folder, let's say Sent, then back to the Inbox, I
wait again 5 minutes.
I try to install an IMAP proxy on Linux localhost, as suggested
(specifically: http://freshmeat.net/projects/imapproxy ) and I found
absolutely no differences.

Here is the question: it seems that squirrelmail reads the entire Inbox
BEFORE presenting my first 15 messages.
Is there a way to say to squirrelmail to read only these 15 messages, and
eventually if I press next page read the next 15 messages ?

If it is not possible, I think that squirrelmail is totally unusable on
"real world" mailbox, containing thousands of messages (this is my
opinion).

Thanks all in advance,

Andrea Lanza
