Some SquirrelMail versions do not list "system" folders in Folders page. I don't 
remember when it was implemented.

There are many different IMAP servers. SquirrelMail configuration utility provides 
options that set interface according to selected imap server. See D command in 
conf.pl. If you can't use conf.pl - see 
http://cvs.sf.net/viewcvs.py/squirrelmail/squirrelmail/doc/presets.txt?rev=1.1&view=markup

If you want more comments, please name your imap server and squirrelmail version. If 
you are using UW IMAP, this IMAP server allows folders that store messages OR other 
folders. It does not support folders that store messages AND other folders.
