What is the most commonly used antispam filter for SquirrelMail?
The documentation thus far has been amazingly bad and even non existant. Any suggestions where to find good documentation for SquirrwlMail or whatever SpamFilter is good?
Spam assasin? Is that a good one?
Documentation is thin indeed. However, don't look for documentation about server software in the SquirrelMail package. :) Spam filtering software is possible using SquirrelMail alone, but highly discouraged. The most popular spam filtering package in the open source world is SpamAssassin by a long shot.

After you make your choice of server side filtering, then you can look and see what plugins might be available that provide a front end for that software in SquirrelMail (although arguably, there is not a large need for a front end for such software in SquirrelMail).
