1) make sure server side filtering works on your machine BEFORE doing ANYTHING in SquirrelMail


How do I do that? Any sample procmail or still better maildrop script.

It's not about scripts. It's about installing one of those software packages in your email server and understanding how it works. I can't just give you a filter and you expect that everything will start working. This is outside the scope of SM. You have to pick a package, download it, read its documentation, install it on your server, test it and only then should you be asking questions about SquirrelMail.
